Beach Colony West 8D

We vacation in Perdido Key almost every year. This was our first visit to Beach Colony and we really enjoyed it. We only had nitpick minor issues (looking at you, elevator codes!) but all went really great. We'll definitely look at staying at this property again.

We had plenty of room as a family of 7. Location was fantastic and easy to get in and out. Don’t skip Johnson’s Beach park right next door for one of the best sunsets I’ve seen at the beach.

It was really clean, prob the cleanest condo I have ever stayed in. Family oriented beach and complex. Pool was clean. Needed codes for entrance gates, elevators, had to wear wrist bands. Checked by security. Always had parking spots.

Beautiful location right on the beach. Favorite place was sitting on the balcony and watching the activities on the beach, water, and in the sky!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely plan on returning in the future. The condo itself is spacious, inviting, and very clean and comfortable. It is also very quiet and private feeling. We were delighted to find a few books and toys for our toddler in the entertainment center. The balcony is huge, also fairly private, and has a wonderful view - we ate all of our meals outside and it was lovely. Access to the beach and pool areas is super easy and convenient. Communication from the host regarding check in was very detailed and clear, making for an easy check in. Overall, we would highly recommend this place!

We loved staying at this property.
The views were amazing- seeing dolphins out the windows was so special.
The deck is huge and a perfect place to relax with comfy furniture.
I stay a lot of Airbnb‘s and this is one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed at.
All the linens and towels were nice and the kitchen had everything that you might need.
The building felt safe, had a very clean exterior, was a short walk to the beach and the elevator worked flawlessly and…very close parking .
I brought an elderly guest with me and it was very easy for her to navigate ..
Nice and roomy beach area out front of the condo- with rental chairs available.
i can’t say enough- just really comfortable and home like at a reasonable price.
we will be back!!

8D is a beautiful place with large rooms and all the necessities for a fabulous beach stay! The view of the gulf and room to relax created a wonderful atmosphere! The safety and security is unmatched. We love the extra walkout on the beach which made it easy for our Grandma to walk to the sand and enjoy her birthday!

My friend and I had a wonderful time. We LOVED how much space the condo offered. And we could watch the sunset over the beach from our balcony. The check in process was a little complicated but once we were in, everything was great. The AC was nice and cool. The beds are very firm. The WiFi was fast. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was a perfect, relaxing get away for me and my adult daughters. The view from the balcony is incredible and was a great place to read or enjoy morning coffee. The beach/ocean is clean and inviting. We enjoyed the pool area and quickly learned when it would be sunny or shaded. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and we cooked every night. The instructions/communication were so clear and we ran into no issues so i didn't really have more than general interaction with staff via text/email. I was pleasantly suprised with the cleanliness of the space. We found an ice cream shop and souvenir shop clse by and even drove further out for more site seeing. We would most definitely stay again!

This was all that was advertised. Very comfortable unit and loved having three bathrooms. Balcony comfortable and completely oceanfront. Convenient location to P'cola and Orange Beach. Great stay.

The condo was very comfortable for our family of six. We enjoyed morning coffee with a beautiful ocean view from the large balcony. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. We had a great week!

Great condo! I had one problem with the beach chairs that I rented on the beach. My beach chair was located either on the 2nd row, or on the 1st row with a blocked view of other personal chairs. Some people stake out their space with chairs early in the morning, which limited my view of the ocean. My concern is not related to the condo but with the service that provides the rental chairs on the beach.

A very nice place to stay overall.
If you are looking for a nice, peaceful, beach trip and have a relatively big budget this is the place for you.
I have no regrets staying here, like I said it was a very nice place, the overall price however was pretty expensive. After all of the many different fees you are charged along with taxes the price quoted through the Airbnb app is very inflated when you actually pay for the total amount.
Another thing (and this may just be me) it’s really not close to very much (restaurants, coffee shops, etc).
I do give it an overall high rating however if you are someone who likes to be close to places to grab breakfast or specialty coffees in the morning then you’ll have about a 20 minute drive to get there.
Pros:
- very clean
- spacious
- great walk-out beach access
- two swimming pools (one is indoor)
Cons:
- expensive
- not at all close to restaurants
- amenities are in the slim side (example: only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom provided)

Three beds and three baths was perfect for us to each have our own space We spent most of our time on the fabulous balcony. The automatic shutters to block the sun at certain times of the day were a real bonus. The Keurig didn’t work but there was a second regular coffee maker so it was fine. Would definitely recommend this unit.
